These details show common termination methods for roof and deck specifications. For clarity, the whole Gacodeck system is shown, which includes both a base coat and a texture coat (hence the two lines).

Termination at outside edge of deck:

Coating usually terminates at the bottom edge of the metal flashing. Flashing normally should overlap siding or fascia a minimum of 2 inches. In any case edge should be water tight and not allow water penetration into the building structure.

Termination near siding at inside edge of deck:

NOTE: The recommended spacing between the top of the plywood and the bottom of the siding is a minimum of one inch.

Flashing normally extends up wall 3 to 6 inches (minimum 2 inch overlap of siding over flashing). In any case flashing should be water tight and not allow water penetration into the building structure.
